Bicycles can be taken on the long-distance trains of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB), depending on the space available. These include the ÖBB Railjet, Eurocity and Intercity trains. However, a parking space must be reserved before travelling for bicycles to be taken on express trains. Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance at the ticket counters of major railway stations, by telephone at the ÖBB customer service or online.
Note: If you cannot find your bike ticket on the ÖBB ticket machine screen straight away, you can ask the ticket counter staff for help.

A reservation is not necessary here, otherwise the same fare regulations apply as on long-distance trains. There are discounted offers for small groups, such as the "Einfach-Raus-Radticket".
