This walk around the Thierbacher Kogel mountain in Wildschönau is perfect for families. At 5.5 kilometres in length and almost entirely flat, the route is suitable for even young children. There are fine views of the Wildschönau region. En route you will come across an "insect hotel" and a number of wooden sculptures. The walk finishes at a guesthouse serving food and drink.

Trail description
The walk begins at the church in Thierbach. The first section leads along the small road to the western side of the Thierbacher Kogel mountain. After crossing a section of forest, turn right twice in quick succession and head gently uphill as you make your way around the mountain. North of Thierbach, the trail leads along the edge of a forest in an easterly direction before heading downhill past the Hörbighof and along a small road back to the starting point.
