Winter hike
Dorfberg

This winter hike of intermediate difficulty first leads up onto the Dorfberg mountain (approx. 1 hour) at 1,820m, where the trail flattens and hikers can enjoy fabulous views of the summits which make up the Karnischer Kamm, from the Kinigat to the Ortler over the border in Italy. Keen-eyed hikers will be able to spot animal tracks in the snow. After returning to the starting point there is just enough time for a stop at the Dorfbergstüberl, a cosy inn serving fine local food.

Trail description

This hike starts at the Dorfbergstüberl in St. Oswald at 1,360 metres above sea level. After around 100 metres walking in a southerly direction, turn sharp left and climb onto the Dorfberg mountain plateau at 1,820m.
