Trail description
The hike begins next to the church in Bach. From there, walkers cross the bridge and turn left before passing the cemetery. The first section of the trail leads along a wide path past the Kraichener Kletterwand climbing area. Keep right and follow the road, past the bottom station of the Jöchelspitzbahn cable car and, along a series of switchbacks, up to the Benglerwald forest and onto the sunny plateau. The next section continues through the Modertal Valley to the start of the settlement of Klapf, comprising a number of houses located above Bach. After taking a look at the settlement and its traditional buildings, hikers return back along the way they came to the starting point next to the church in Bach.
Tip! While in the area, make sure to pay a visit to Klapf. On clear days this traditional settlement offers fantastic views all the way to the end of the valley.
