The "Skitourenpark St. Johann" offers three routes suitable for both beginners and experienced ski touring enthusiasts.
Bottom to top of Harschbichl cable car
This ski tour on the northern slopes of the Kitzbühel Horn mountain in St. Johann is of intermediate difficulty and takes skiers from the bottom to the top of the Harschbichl cable car. The route is clearly signposted and has a lot of cosy huts where skiers can stop for a rest. The ski tour begins on the right-hand side of the Hochfeld Piste (1d) and heads upwards, crossing the piste to continue along the left-hand side next to the forest. Once you reach the Hochfeldalm hut you have completed around a third of the total route. The second third takes you up to the middle station of the Harschbichl cable car. The third and final section is the most challenging. It is just one kilometre in length but steep in places. At the top of the cable car, at 1,604 metres above sea level, you will find the Harschbichlalm hut serving food and drink.

Eichenhof to Harschbichl
This challenging ski tour starts at the bottom of the lifts at Eichenhof in St. Johann and leads up to the top of the Harschbichl mountain. The gradient is relatively steady all the way, but the distance is longer than many other ski tours in the resort: 4.7 kilometres and 920 vertical metres. Most of the route leads along the edge of the forest along the Eichenhof-Abfahrt piste. After reaching the top of the Eichenhofbahn cable car, it is time for a final push up via the Jodlalm hut to the finishing point at 1,604 metres. There, at the Harschbichlalm hut, you can enjoy a well-earned rest before descending along the Eichenhof-Abfahrt piste or the FIS race piste past the resrvoir.

Valle's Tauwiesenlift to Bassgeigeralm
This easy ski tour begins in Oberndorf and leads up onto the Penzingberg. Leaving from the bottom of Valle's Tauwiesenlift, follow the Talabfahrt Oberndorf piste 2.5km uphill to the Bassgeigeralm hut on the Kitzbüheler Horn. It is just 340 vertical metres to the hut, which is perched at 1,050 metres above sea level. Enjoy a rest at the hut before descending the 340 vertical metres back down into the valley.
