The resort can be reached quickly and easily from Innsbruck via the motorway running north-south and boasts slopes between 1,000m and 2,000m, so from late November until early April good snow conditions are guaranteed. The pistes themselves, which have been inspected and certified by the local government, have won several awards and cater for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities. Easy beginners' slopes can be found towards the top of the resort, near the Hochsonnlift, while advanced and expert skiers will find plenty of red and black pistes, including one mogul slope. For children there is the practice area, a children's funpark and a children's skicross course. Snowkiters can often be seen racing down the slopes near the Nösslachjoch ridge.
