The resort of Fügen in the Zillertal Valley boasts ideal pistes for beginners, families and cruisers – and the longest valley descent in the region with artificial snowmaking facilities. A new shuttle bus service now connects the resort with nearby Hochfügen.

The bottom of the Spieljochbahn cable car is located in the centre of Fügen and whisks wintersports enthusiasts up onto the slopes high above the Zillertal Valley in just a matter of minutes. This small but charming resort topping out at 2,054m is ideal for families and those who love cruising the pistes. For children there is an activity programme, two conveyor-belt lifts and one easy draglift. More experienced skiers can take on the run down to Fügen, the longest valley descent with snowmaking facilities in the Zillertal Valley at 7 kilometres. In December 2015 the state-of-the-art Panoramabahn Geols cable car from the Onkeljoch ridge down into the valley was extended, opening up a new 3km piste. A shuttle bus service now also connects the resort of Fügen to with nearby Hochfügen.
