Located at the gateway to Germany’s Allgäu region, the Zöblen-Schattwald ski resort has four lifts giving access to pistes up to 1,570 metres above sea level. Most slopes are easy or intermediate, though there is also one black run. A free shuttle bus connects the two villages. Despite being relatively small, the resort actually has a FIS-approved race course which has been used by national ski teams from countries such as Switzerland and Japan for training purposes.
