Obertilliach in East Tyrol is actually known for its biathlon stadium and as a training venue for top Nordic athletes. This is thanks to the region's great snow reliability - which, however, also benefits alpine skiers. The small local ski area around the local mountain Golzentipp is an insider tip, especially among families and leisure skiers. It reaches up to 2,250 meters above sea level. Red slopes dominate, but there are also blue and black ones. The Obertilliach ski school makes it easy for beginners of all ages to get started. At the Tilly Kids' Camp, the practice area with wave run, ski jump and tunnel provides plenty of variety. Thanks to its southern exposure, you can look forward to many hours of sunshine, both on the slopes and on the terrace of the ConnyAlm panorama restaurant at 2,050 meters above sea level. Good for families in particular: the ski pass prices are extremely moderate.
