Perched high above the town of Landeck, home to many museums and other cultural attractions, Venet ski resort is situated on the mountain of the same name and is a popular destination for families and cruisers. As well as a small selection of pistes it offers two funparks and plenty of off-piste ski touring.
High above the roofs of Landeck lies the ski resort of Venet. Skiers and snowboarders can access this small but perfectly formed resort at 2,212 metres above sea level by taking the cable car from the village of Zams up to Krahberg. Venet is particularly popular among beginners and intermediate skiers thanks to its selection of blue and red slopes, while advanced and expert skiers will find one black run to test their skills on. Those who prefer to head off-piste will find excellent ski touring and freeriding away from the marked slopes. For snowboarders and freestyle skiers there is the Panorama Lifestyle Park with a huge airbag and plenty of lines with features and obstacles to trick, jump and jib. The Panorama-Restaurant at the top of the cable car is an ideal place to sample some of the local food and admire magnificent views of the nearby Arlberg mountains and even as far as the Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak, and the Ortler Massif over the border in Italy. For youngsters there is a separate practice area with childcare facilities.
