The small resort of Hoch-Imst has great facilities and discounts for families, but at the same time it offers plenty for advanced skiers, snowboarders and freestylers.
Situated on a sunny plateau above the town of Imst, the resort of Hoch-Imst extends all the way up to 2,100 metres above sea level and offers plenty of slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities. Highlights include a new funpark with 15 obstacles for budding freestylers and pros as well as a large beginners' area with gentle slopes and a draglift next to the bottom of the cable car. It is there that the many ski lessons take place, with the ski school even offering free lessons on certain weeks for children staying in the resort. Among the most popular runs is from the Untermarkter Alm, one of the longest slopes in Tirol and floodlit on some evenings. The mid-way station of the cable car also has a large terrace area perfect for taking a break and topping up your tan. Ski touring enthusiasts should try the "Ursprungweg", which runs through the forest parallel to the piste.
