Yes, some summit hikes in Tyrol are already possible in spring, but this depends heavily on the location and altitude of the respective summit. South-facing and lower-lying peaks are often free of snow early in the year, while there may still be snow at higher altitudes. Hikes to peaks such as the Schönkahler, the Harauer Spitze and other 1000 metre peaks are easy to do in spring as they are at lower altitudes and on sunny paths. For summit hikes in higher regions, however, you should be prepared to encounter snow. Appropriate equipment, such as hiking poles or Grödel poles, as well as weatherproof clothing are important. It is also advisable to check the current conditions in advance.
