These two cable cars in St. Johann transport passengers quickly and comfortably first to the mid-way station at Koasaburg and then all the way up to the top station at Harschbichl on the Kitzbühel Horn mountain. Thanks to its fabulous views of the surrounding mountains, the ride up to the top is a highlight in its own right. Once there, hikers will enjoy exploring the region around the Kitzbühel Horn with its diverse trails, refreshing lakes and traditional huts. The top station of the cable car marks the start of the "Horn-Gipfel-Höhenweg", a high altitude hiking trail between lush meadows and craggy rockfaces. There are also several via ferrata fixed rope climbing routes catering for all abilities, while the Harschbichl Trail starting at the mid-way station is a highlight for mountainbikers. The mid-way station is also home to the Kletterwald Hornpark, a high-rope climbing garden with eight different courses ideal for families with children. Want to try something new? How about hiring a Mountaincart and whizzing down into the valley on four wheels?
