Leaving from the village of St. Anton am Arlberg, the Gampenbahn whisks guests up to 1,850 metres above sea level. From there the journey continues on a second cable car, the Kapallbahn, which leads all the way up to 2,328 metres. Next to the top of the Gampenbahn cable car there is the Restaurant Gampen serving homemade food traditional to the region. In the summer months its large sunny terrace is particularly popular. Diners in search of "haute cuisine" in the truest sense of the word should head to the Kapal Stube, just a few metres from the top of the Kapallbahn cable car. The area around the top of the cable car is popular with paragliders, hikers and mountainbikers.
