The Fisser Almbahn cable car gives visitors a quick and easy way to ascend the 785 vertical metres from the Schöngampalm to the Zwölferkopf mountain (2,596 metres). The journey takes just six minutes, but the time will fly by anyway as you admire the fabulous scenery. Up at the top there are even more breathtaking panoramas in store on the Z1 viewing platform. The top of the cable car marks the start of a number of walks, including one around the Zwölferkopf mountain where walkers can look down on the Urgtal Valley and up to the mighy peaks on the Main Alpine Ridge. Children in particular will enjoying learning about some of the most well-known animals native to the Alps in 17 special themed cable cars telling passengers all about eagles, chamois, bears and snow hares, including what they like to eat and how they survive the winter. Keep your eyes open for the special wooden cable car cabin!
