The Hexenseehütte is a mountain refuge in the Masner area above the village of Serfaus. It is located on a long-distance hiking trail (trail number 712) connecting two other huts, the Kölner Haus and the Heidelberger Hütte. The Hexenseehütte is an excellent base for walks and hikes to Samnaun and into the Paznaun Mountains. The nearest peak is the Hexenkopf (3,034 metres). There are also two mountain lakes nearby. The hut is run by the person in charge of the Kölner Haus hut, who is also a qualified mountain guide. The Hexenseehaus is a self-catering hut open from early July until late September. It sleeps up to 22 guests. In winter the Hexenseehütte is used as a ski restaurant. During these months, only members of the Rheinland-Köln Division of the German Alpine Club are allowed to stay at the hut and use the self-catering area.
