Charming hut in the Tannheim Mountains
German Alpine Club, Bad Kissingen Division
Offering a sunny terrace with fine views of the Tannheimer Tal Valley, cosy rooms with plenty of natural light and delicious food prepared using ingredients from the local region, the Bad Kissinger Hütte is an alpine hut in the Tannheim Mountains. Situated at the foot of the Aggenstein mountain (1,987 metres), this stone building with a modern extension blends into the landscape and provides an excellent base camp for walking and climbing. It is open from May until October and is located on the Tannheim High Trail. During the winter months the hut is open but no service is provided. A hut was erected on this site as early as 1889. Since then it has been renovated and updated on a regular basis. It was given its modern-day name in 1993.
