The family-friendly Schlickeralm adventure area in the Stubai Valley is located at the foot of the Kalkkögel mountains, just 20 minutes from the regional capital Innsbruck. Highlights include an educational walking trail with information stations. In summer there is also a petting zoo and a play area plus a barefoot trail, tunnels, rope slides and a hanging bridge. We also recommend a visit to the StubaiBlick viewing platform at 2,160 metres with its panorama including the Stubai Alps, the Kalkkögel mountains, Innsbruck, the Zillertal Valley and the Wilder Kaiser Mountains.

Trail description
The walk begins at the top of the Kreuzjochbahn cable car. Take the cable car up from Fulpmes. From the top station is is about one hour to the Schlickeralm hut. The hut serves fresh butter, cheese, milk and other dairy products. After the hut there is the option of turning off onto a trail on the right and heading past the Waxeck reservoir into the forest. The final downhill section to the Froneben-Alm is popular with children thanks to its learning trail with a barefoot section, crawling tunnel, rope slide and hanging bridge. From the lake, take the "Scheibenweg" trail to the mid-way station of the cable car and then ride back down into the valley.
