Trail description
The adventure starts with a ride up onto the mountain with the Hahnenkammbahn cable car in Kitzbühel. Up at the top, at 1635 metres above sea level, is where the themed trail itself begins. However, before embarking on the Streif Hike it is a good idea to enjoy the fabulous view from the KitzPanorama platform. A path then leads to the start house at the top of the Streif downhill course. As walkers make their way down the mountain they will pass many spots familiar to skiing fans from the annual Hahnenkamm race held each January: Brückenschuss, Gschöss, Alte Schneise, Seidlalm, Lärchenschuss and Hausberg. This 4km trail is very steep in places and therefore only recommended for sure-footed hikers.
