The Sintersbach Waterfall near Jochberg is a great place to get back to nature. In spring, when the snow melts on the mountains above, it is an impressive example of the power of water. The falls are 85 metres high and can be reached via a walking trail of intermediate difficulty. On the way back from the waterfall you will pass the Wildalm (1,430 metres), a traditional mountain hut serving hearty local food.

Trail description
This hike measuring nine kilometres in total begins in the village of Jochberg. The trail leads uphill initially, through the narrow wooded valley along the banks of the Sintersbach stream. The path then widens for a while before becoming narrower again and steeper as it reaches the waterfall. The route back down takes walkers along a narrow trail which was traditionally used by alpine farmers. It first heads up to the Wildalm hut, a good place to stop for a rest, before continuing back down to Jochberg. Total walking time: 4 hours.
