The ten-kilometre-long circular hike on the Hahnenkamm mountain has plenty of fine views taking in the Zugspitze, the Lechtal Alps and the Tannheimer Tal Valley. Rated of intermediate difficulty, it takes around five hours to complete and leads past several huts serving food and drink: Lechaschauer Alm, Gehrenalpe, Schneetalalm and Panoramarestaurant Hahnenkamm.

Trail description
Take the Hahnenkammbahn cable car up onto the mountain. The hike begins at the top of the cable car. Follow the signs for Lechaschauer Alm heading north. When you get to the Lechaschauer Alm hut, take the trail to Gehrenalpe. From there, climb up to the Gehrenjoch ridge and then on to Schneid (2,009 metres), the highest point on the hike. From there, head back down to the Sabachjoch ridge. After another short climb and a flat section, hikers reach theSchneetalalm. Continue for around 500 metres to the Tiefjoch ridge. Finally, take in the peak of the Hahnenkamm mountain (1,938 metres) and from there head back to the top of the cable car.
