Trail description
The hike starts at the tourist information office in Brixen im Thale. Turn left towards Lake Erlensee, before which you have to cross under the railway line. After the lake, continue southwards over a bridge under which the main road runs. Now walk uphill on a hiking trail in the forest and turn left at the second forest road. It leads in several hairpin bends up to the Kandleralm (1,120 metres) hut. After a refreshment stop, head back eastwards. Now either descend directly via the hamlet of Zöpfl and walk along the Brixentaler Ache river back to the starting point or take a detour to the Rechentalalm and Brixenbachalm (food served) further south in the valley. From the latter, a hiking trail leads back above the Brixentaler Ache river to the starting point in Brixen im Thale.
