After travelling up into in the cable car, walkers will already be able to see the restaurant at the Kammerköralm. However, before they have the chance to sample the culinary delights that await within, it is time to explore the educational Triassic Trail. Leading through the Triassic Park, this trail takes walkers not only to some of the finest mountains in the Steinplatte region but also on a journey back in time all the way to the Triassic age when much of the Earth was covered by the huge Tethys ocean. Traces of this ancient body of water can still be found at the Steinplatte and are a fascinating experience for both children and adults alike. The best place to reflect on an action-packed day is in the mountain restaurant at 1,666m above sea level.
