Trail description
Leaving from the car park at the bottom of the Reitherkogel cable car, head north through the village to the secondary school. To the left of this, at Sonnbichl, you will find the beautifully landscaped Hildegard of Bingen herb garden inviting you to enjoy a wide range of medicinal plants with all your senses. The path then leads west along the edge of the forest to a viewing platform from which you will be able to see the Matzenpark with its castles. Branching off to the south, hikers pass the Schmidt Art Gallery before the path turns left and leads in a gentle arc past the picturesque Reither Badesee lake. The last section leads back to the centre of the village, where there are various cafés and restaurants.
