Trail description
The trail begins at the Gasthof Thanner in Brandberg. The first section with gradients of up to 33% leads up through the south-facing meadows to the settlement of Ahornach. After pausing to catch your breath and admire the views on one of the benches, hikers continue along the tarmac road for a few hundred metres. The road then turns into a narrow path through a few sections of sparse forest but mostly open terrain. Don't forget to take a hat with you and plenty of water to drink. After 750 vertical metres of uphill hiking you will reach the Kolmhaus hut at 1,840m, where a well-earned drink and snack await.
Return along the same route.
