"Der Bergdoktor" is one of the most popular long-running TV shows in the German-speaking world. It revolves around a doctor, played by Hans Sigl, and his various adventures in the mountains of Tirol. The series is filmed in and around Söll, which is where this themed hike takes us. Starting at the bottom of the cable car in Söll, walkers head uphill along the Stampfangerbach river and past several small chapels on the Bromberg mountain before reaching the Köpfinghof farmstead, where many scenes from "Der Bergdoktor" are filmed. Along the way there are several places where hikers can stop off for a snack such as the Gruberhof and the Hexenalm next to the bottom of the cable car in Söll. This easy hike is ideal for families.

Trail description
The Bergdoktor Hike begins at the car park near the bottom of the cable car in Söll. The first section leads uphill to the Stampfangerkapelle chapel. From there the gradient eases as hikers pass the Salvenaukapelle chapel and the Staumauerkapelle chapel before reaching the Höckenhof, where the path intersects with the Brombergstraße road. Here there is the opportunity – following the road uphill to the right – to visit the Gruberhof, located around 100 metres further up the mountain. Those who wish to continue should follow the road straight on past the Hof Talern on the right as far as the Köpfingshof, home to the Bergdoktor himself in the TV series of the same name. From there a twisting trail with lots of switchback corners takes hikers back down into the valley to the starting point.
