Sturdy footwear is certainly not required on this short walking trail located on the Hahnenkamm mountain near the town of Reutte. The trail has been specifically designed to be walked barefoot and begins just five minutes from the top of the cable car. All in all there are 18 "foot-fit" stations along the way, from an invigorating foot massage on gravel to soft straw and even a Kneipp water therapy station. The trail ends with a gentle walk down through the blooming meadows at Jochhalde to the Höfener Alm hut, where walkers have a chance to wash their feet. Use of the Alpine Barefoot Walking Trail is free of charge.
