The Albigen Trails in Grins give walkers the chance to learn more about the four natural dangers ("Albigen") that according to legend haunted the village of Grins for many decades: earth, fire, water and air. The village was on many occasions hit by floods, storms, fires and landslides until the local population finally managed to tame Mother Nature and turn her awesome power into a much-needed spring providing water. Since then the village has been spared. To celebrate this rich history, the village has created four different learning trails about the four elements. One of them is the six-kilometre-long "Albigenpfad Wasseralb" all about water and its incredible power.

Trail description
The family-friendly "Albigenpfad Wasseralb" trail begins at the sports field in Grins and leads gently uphill along the main village road until you get to a turning on the right into the forest. You will then reach a crossroads. If you take the left-hand option, you will reach the sculpture at the end of the walk. The other learning trails about fire, earth and wind also begin at the sports field in Grins. They take between 45 minutes and 2 hours.
