Getting to Tirol

• Trains on the S 4 and CJX 1 lines are cancelled between Innsbruck main station and Hall in Tirol. Replacement buses will run every 15 minutes.
• The REX 2 is cancelled between Innsbruck and Rum, but it is possible to change to the IVB (Innsbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe) service in Rum. Valid ticket required!
• The Innsbruck Messe stop will not be served during the closure.
• During rush hour, some local trains will be diverted via the Innsbruck bypass.

Note: Unfortunately, it is not possible to take bicycles on SEV local trains.

• ÖBB long-distance trains will be rerouted via the Innsbruck bypass tunnel every two hours to ensure that direct connections (e.g. Vienna-Innsbruck-Bregenz) remain available.
• An increase in journey time is expected: e.g. Vienna-Innsbruck + up to 50 minutes, Vienna-Bregenz + approx. 60 minutes.
• For RJX trains not travelling through the tunnel: SEV will be used between Jenbach and Innsbruck, with up to 40 minutes additional travel time.
• For RJX connections Vienna-Zurich: between Jenbach and Innsbruck SEV with buses, approx. 1 hour longer journey time.

Note: Bicycle transport on SEV buses is limited or not possible (depending on the connection).

• Nightjet/EuroNight connections (Vienna - Bregenz/Zurich) will be widely diverted. The stops in Innsbruck Hbf and Jenbach will be cancelled - SEV buses will run between Wörgl, Jenbach and Innsbruck.
• Nightjet connections from/to Amsterdam and Hamburg end/start in Wörgl Hbf, rail replacement service between Innsbruck Hbf and Wörgl Hbf.
• Due to the changed routing, journey times are extended by up to 60-90 minutes.

Recommendation: Hire bikes and skis locally, as sports retailers offer the latest and best serviced equipment. Your own equipment should be stowed in a thin ski bag or tied together to possibly fit in the train's overhead compartment. When travelling by bike, book early as a reservation is required for the bike storage space on long-distance trains. Regional transport offers easy travel or local transport without reservation. Depending on availability, bikes can be taken on buses (pushchairs and wheelchairs have priority). Some buses offer bicycle racks or trailers for bicycles.

Yes, dogs are allowed on DBB, ÖBB and SBB trains. Dogs must either wear a muzzle and be secured on a lead - a ticket is required for this - or they must travel in a transport box. Guide dogs for the blind and assistance dogs travel free of charge and do not have to wear a muzzle.
