This 60km ride around the Hohe Salve mountain is ideal for families with children and e-bike enthusiasts. Most of the riding is on tarmac roads and gravel, leading from the village of Itter at the foot of the Hohe Salve mountain through the charming Brixental Valley to Kirchberg, Ellmau and Söll before returning to the starting point in Itter. Highlights include fabulous views of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains. There are also plenty of locations, including mountain huts and inns, where riders can recharge the batteries on their e-bikes.

Trail description
The ride begins on the village square in the centre of Itter. Ride towards Hopfgarten im Brixental, then take cycle path number 21 to the settlement of Elsbethen. Ride past the Gasthof Lendwirt building and into the Windautal Valley. After 4.5 kilometres, cross over the stream and ride past the Gasthof Jägerhäusl building. Continue on the other side of the stream in a northerly direction. The route then leads through Westendorf and Brixen im Thale to Kirchberg in Tirol. Ride alongside the Salzburg-Tiroler-Bahn railway line for a section and then follow the banks of the Aschauer Ache river to the village of Reith bei Kitzbühel. Continue via Astberg, past the Stanglwirt near Going am Wilden Kaiser and on to Ellmau. Cycle path 14 then leads back to the starting point in Itter. This ride can also be started at any other point along the route.
