After around 200 vertical metres of fine freeriding on the Kreuzmoos Trail over root-covered sections of forest the fun continues on the Riatschwegele 1, a new trail opened in 2017 on the Mutzkopf mountain in Nauders. In the past riders used to have to complete this final section along a boring tarmac road, but with the opening of the Riatschwegele 1 they now have the option of a forest pumptrack taking them down towards the valley floor. Designed to blend into the landscape, this trail is rated S1 (easy) throughout and therefore offers lot of fun riding for all abilities.

Trail description
The Mutzkopfbahn two-man chairlift in Nauders transports riders up onto the mountain. Alternatively, those who want to work up a sweat can ride up to the top of the chairlift via forest road (approx. 400 vertical metres) in around an hour.
The start of the trail network is marked by a wooden churchspire with an information board providing an overview of the different trails. Riders should follow the signs for the Kreuzmoos Trail, which lead for around 50 vertical metres through a beautiful forest and then reaches a fork where riders can either stay on the Kreuzmoos Trail or turn off onto the Gerry Trail.
The Kreuzmoos Trail ends after around 1,500 metres and merges to the left into the Riatschwegele 1. If you carry speed from this point there is almost no pedalling needed as you pass through a forest before reaching a short but sharp climb. The descent then continues through many long corners until, after around 600 metres, the trail meets a tarmac road at the Gasthof Riatschhof. Here riders can choose between the Riatschwegele 2 (the extention of the Riatschwegele 1) or the easier Family Trail. Both lead down into the valley.
The Riatschwegele 1 is part of the 3 Countries Enduro Trails, a cross-border trail network on the Reschen Pass comprising four lifts and 21 trails. For more information about the 3 Countries Enduro Trails visit www.nauders.com.
Tip! The 3 Countries Bike Card offers riders wishing to explore this region where Austria, Italy and Switzerland meet access to all the lifts and trails. It is available from all tourist offices in the region.
