Trail description
Start from the car park of the WellCom spa in St. Anton and head in a north-easterly direction. The village road leads to St. Jakob am Arlberg and on to the settlement of Gand. At the end of the village, in Untergand, keep your eye out in the right-hand bend on the village road for a left turning onto a gravel path. Take this turn and follow route 768 uphill into the forest. The route then leads up through several switchback corners for five kilometers and about 420 vertical metres to the Putzenalm at 1,720 metres above sea level. The return leg from the hut leads downhill in a westerly direction. This is followed by a flatter passage and finally a more challenging descent in the Schöngraben below the Bacher mountain to Nasserein, with a gradient of up to 22% in places. Continue along the Nassereinstraße road to the Untere Nassereinstraße road and turn right onto the path leading back to the starting point.
