As the name suggests, The First One was the first singletrack trail built in the Bikepark Innsbruck just outside the regional capital and still remains one of its flagship trails today. It has been designed for riders of all ages and abilities. The mainly natural trail descends around 350 vertical metres and has plenty of banked corners, flowy forest sections and small jumps. Due to the relatively gentle gradient it is ideal for beginners and young riders. All sections of the trail are rated S2.

Trail description
The adventure starts with a ride up on the Muttereralmbahn cable car to 1,608 metres above sea level. This ascent can also be ridden via mountainbike route 510. From the bottom of the cable car follow the relatively gentle forest road for around 700 vertical metres (approx. 2 hours of riding).
The singletrack trail itself starts next to the top of the cable car. The first section comprises easy turns through meadows with a few roots. This is where riders will also find the two wallrides, which require good bike-handling skills and a healthy portion of courage. They can, however, also be avoided. After crossing the forest road for the first time, the trail disappears into a section of thick trees and winds its way down through the forest. Small steps, root sections and a few rocks ensure a fun and varied riding experience. Thanks to the relatively gentle gradient it is suitable not only for experienced downhill riders but also those trying trailriding for the first time.
The trail ends after roughly two kilometres at the mid-way station of the cable car, which can be used to ride back up to the top. At the mid-way station the trail merges with "The Chainless One", another singletrack trail.
Tip! The "Kidspark" is ideal for beginners and youngsters. It is located next to the top of the Muttereralmbahn cable car and has three different lines with easy corners, steps and jumps. The park is a good place to practice bike-handling skills before taking on the trails. Bikepark Innsbruck also offers bike-handling courses and bike rental.
