This mountain bike loop from Seefeld via Wildmoos to the Katzenkopf mountain and back again to Seefeld is full of variety. It measures 27 kilometres from start to finish and generally leads along wide gravel trails, with just a few short steeper and narrower sections. Riders of average fitness will have no problem completing it. The ride dips in and out of the forest and also passses several lakes, including the Lottensee (which appears and disappears depending on the groundwater level) and the Wildmoossee. The Katzenkopf mountain offers magnificent views of the Wetterstein Mountains and the the Karwendel Mountains. Last but certainly not least, there are plenty of huts along the way serving hearty Tirolean food and sweet treats.

Trail description
The ride begins at the car park at the bottom of the lifts leading up onto the Gschwandtkopf mountain in Seefeld. Take mountain bike route 546 towards the Möserer See lake, leading past the arena used for the Nordic Skiing World Championships a few years ago. You will then enter the Seewald forest at the foot of the Gschwandtkopf mountain. Slightly above the lake, turn left onto route 544 (heading west). There then follows a shady section in the forest past the Lottensee lake and the Wildmoossee lake. Near the Wildmoosalm hut turn left onto route 5048 and then onto the more challenging route 541 towards the Katzenkopf mountain and Weidach. After descending to Weidach, turn around and ride past the bottom station of the lifts leading onto the Katzenkopf mountain on route 541 through the Fludertal heading uphill to the Wildmoosalm. There, turn left again onto route 544 and ride east to the Möserer See lake. Finally, take route 546 back to Seefeld.
