Located on the southern slopes of the Daniel mountain (2,340 metres), the Tuftlalm hut to the north of Lermoos is a popular destination for mountain bike and e-bike rides. Its viewing platform offers a majestic panoramic view of the Mieming Mountains and the Wetterstein Mountains including the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain. The hut itself serves delicious local food and has two re-charging stations where e-bike riders can top up their batteries while they eat. Most of the ride, which is of intermediate difficulty, is along tarmac and gravel trails.

Trail description
The ride begins at the car park next to the Grubigsteinbahn cable car. Leaving the car park, ride to the main road and turn left towards Reutte. After passing the Hotel Bergland turn immediately left onto the Alte Straße. At the end of this road, cross the main road and continue towards Gries. Cross the road once again near the Hotel Grieserhof using the underpass. Then, following the signs, continue towards Lähn. After a short section on the cycle path you will see a car park on your right-hand side. Cross this car park and take the B179 until there is an underpass on the right-hand side leading under the railway line. Take this underpass and follow the road until you reach a gravel path (Panoramaweg). It is here that the climb begins – with some steep sections – all the way to the Tuftlalm hut at 1,496 metres above sea level. The rest of the ride is relatively flat and leads along a mountain ridge before becoming steeper for a while and turning from a gravel path into a tamrac road. The long descent then takes riders all the way down to the main road near the viaduct near Ehrwald. Cross under the viaduct and continue straight on along the hike and bike trails back to the starting point in Lermoos.
Important! Please ride carefully. These trails are shared by cyclists and walkers.
