This challenging climb to Harschbichl on the famous Kitzbühel Horn mountain begins in St. Johann is hard work but well worth it. Riders can look forward to wonderful views of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains and, of course, the Kitzbühel Horn itself. There are plenty of huts and restaurants along the way serving foodand drink, including the Angerer Alm hut with its hearty Tirolean food and -bike recharging station.

Trail description
Leaving from the Hochfeld car park in St. Johann, take the tarmac road in a southerly direction to Apfeldorf. Then climb via Berglehen up to 1,000 metres above sea level. Shortly after passing the Gasthof Hirschberg but before you reach the Hochfeldalm hut, turn right and take the dirt track through the forest. After 500 metres, turn right onto Hornweg and ride past the Schlosserberg reservoir before continuing on to the Angerer Alm hut at 1,300 metres. From here it is another 300 vertical metres to Harschbichl. Return along the way you came.
