This flow-filled trailriding experience on the Hahnenkamm mountain above Kitzbühel gives mountain bikers the chance to test their skills and nerves on the same slopes where the world's best downhill ski racers battle it out for glory every January. Opened in July 2019, the trail begins at the top of the Hahnenkammbahn cable car and measures 6.88 kilometres in length, dropping 874 vertical metres from top to bottom. The singletrack is rated S1 (easy), making it suitable for beginners and families as well as advanced and expert riders. It contains lots of banked corners, rollers, jumps and natural obstacles. Flow is the name of the game here. Indeed, the only reason to pull on the brakes is to enjoy the fabulous views!

Trail description
Riders who want to enjoy the whole trail from top to bottom should take the Hahnenkammbahn cable car all the way to the top. Mountain bikes can be transported using the Hahnenkammbahn cable car.
Alternatively, there are three other possible starting points:
- advanced riders can start from top of the final third,
- rookies can start from above the Schattbergschanze ski jump,
- beginners can start from the Playground at the Mockingwiese.
Leaving from the top of the Hahnenkammbahn cable car, follow the tarmac road for a short section. After a gate there is a well-signposted trail that branches off to the left.
The first part of the trail swoops down along a series of wide turns through sunny meadows. Along the way there are a number of well-shaped berms, Northshore features and small rollers to keep things interesting.
As the trail enters the forest, things get steeper. After two tight turns the trail leaves the forest again and becomes more flowy with open turns in meadows. This is the place to let is run!
The trail crosses a gravel road and then continues through lush meadows and pastures. The perfect singletrail experience for those who feel the need for speed.
After crossing a section of thin forest, riders reach a gate. The trail then follows the forest road for a short while before branching off again. Here there are plenty of small rollers and jumps where advanced and expert riders can enjoy a little airtime.
The trail crosses the forest road on several occasions, before the terrain opens up and riders are able to see the cable car. The final section is a fast one down through open meadowland to the finish.
Tip! Lie down on one of the wooden recliners in the Chill & Rest Area and enjoy the fantastic views of the Kitzbüheler Horn mountain above and the town of Kitzbühel below.
