Trail description
From Lermoos, bikers can take the Grubigsteinbahn I+II cable cars up to the start of the trail or, alternatively, ride up via mountainbike routes 804, 860 and 861 (approx. 2.5 hours).
The trail itself (route 864) starts next to the top of the cable car. After descending to the Grubigalm hut at 1,695 metres, riders should stay right and follow the signs for trail 864. The next section leads down a ski piste over loose terrain with a few root sections and small jumps. Advanced riders can raise the difficulty level by increasing their speed on this section. The trail crosses the forest road on several occasions, which gives less experienced riders the chance to avoid more tricky sections by taking the forest road and rejoining the trail further down. The singletrack trail then meets the Forest Aisle Trail, which continues along the Forstweg Grubigalm (route 804).
After a short section along a wide forest trail, riders can choose between taking the Schlägle Singletrack (aka Forest Thunder Trail; mountainbike route 855) or the easy gravel road back to Lermoos.
