The Gerry Trail is the foundation of the 3 Countries Enduro Trail network near the Reschenpass mountain pass where Austria, Italy and Switzerland converge. It can be accessed via the Kreuzmoos Trail and is without a doubt the favourite among the trails on the Mutzkopf mountain in Nauders. Built by hand, it winds its way 150 vertical metres down into the valley and presents a few challenges even for experienced riders. The trail is rated S2 on the difficulty scale.

Trail description
The Mutzkopfbahn two-man chairlift in Nauders transports riders up onto the mountain. Alternatively, there is the option of riding up via a road through the forest. The ascent of around 400 vertical metres takes about an hour.
At the top there is a wooden church spire with a sign showing the way to the trail. In fact, such wooden church spires are used to indicate the start of every trail in the 3 Countries Enduro Trails network. Follow the signs as far as the start of the Kreuzmoos Trail (S2). Then continue to follow the signs through root sections and a beautiful forest until, after descending around 50 vertical metrs, you reach the fork in the trail where you can turn off onto the Gerry Trail.
The first hand-built trail on the Mutzkopf mountain, the Gerry Trail forms the heart of the 3 Countries Enduro Trails. It is popular with riders thanks to its many root sections, fun rock drop-offs and a number of tricky technical sections. All difficult sections can, however, also be avoided. After just 1,200 of intense riding the Gerry Trail meets up with tthe Kreuzmoos Trail once again.
The Gerry Trail is part of the 3 Countries Enduro Trails, a network of trails in the border region near the Reschenpass mountain pass where Austria, Italy and Switzerland meet. This network comprises foru cable cars and 21 trails. For more information about the 3 Countries Enduro Trails visit www.nauders.com.
Tip! The 3 Countries Summercard Gold offers riders in this region the chance to use all the lifts and trails. It is available from local tourism offices.
