Trail description
The tour starts at the bottom of the Elferlifte cable car in the Stubaital Valley, which transports bike and rider up to the top. From the starting point next to the top of the cable car, riders turn left onto the forest path and will soon see the trail as they come around the corner of the building. The start of the trail is marked with an old-school bike and a large gateway. After one turn on the piste, the trail turns off into the forest. It is, however, a challenging experience and requires not only good bike-handling skills but also a good line choice through the first few corners.
From the top to the bottom there are many natural and man-made obstacles such as rocks, root gardens, berms and jumps. The trail crosses a forest road several times, but each crossing is clearly signposted. There are also information boards at regular intervals providing information about the following sections. While the top section is mainly flowy and natural, the lower section provides very much a bike park feeling. Shortly after exiting the forest there is a series of jumps which advanced riders will enjoy. After passing the "Zum Weber Lois" snack hut the trail becomes steeper before a berm section leads down to an open meadow. The trail then meets the road. Riders should head right and, after 200 metres of gentle uphill, will turn off left onto the final section back down to the bottom of the Elferlifte cable car.
There is a free bikewash at the bottom station of the cable car.
