Westendorf - Tiefentalalm

Leaving from the tourist information office in Hopfgarten, cross under the railway line, over the bridge and turn left towards Kelchsau. Follow the road into the valley as far as the toll station, then continue towards Langer Grund (cycle trail number 226) to the Gasthof Moderstock. The trail then continues along a gravel section to the Erla Brennhütte hut (1220m). This is a good place to recharge your bike’s battery before continuing via the Erla Alm to the Tiefentalalm hut at the end of the Tiefental Valley (1439m). The trail then leads through Langer Grund, initially on gravel and then from Kelchsau on tarmac, to the starting point in Hopfgarten.

This ride of intermediate difficulty measures 21.5km from the starting point in Hopfgarten to the Tiefentalam hut and climbs 818 vertical metres. It lasts around 2 hours and leads along sections of gravel and asphalt.
