The eye-catching parish church of Weerberg, which is also the trailhead of this wonderful stage, can be seen from far. A scenic 23-kilometer route of intermediate difficulty takes you to Windegg and its lovely wooden chapel towering high above Inntal Valley.
- Weerberg was one of the popular stages of the Transalp Challenge: many quaint inns in typical Tirolean style offer superb views of the Karwendel Massif located right opposite. A perfect little village for an overnight stay!
- At the beginning of the tour you enjoy a speedy downhill ride to Weer in Inntal Valley, which is at the same time the route's lowest point at 558 meters above sea level.
- The trail leads up hill and down dale through marvelous alpine landscapes: via Gartlach you pedal towards Kolsassberg and further on past Wattental and Voldertal to Windegg.
- The entire tour features gravel trails and quite narrow asphalt roads. Enough stamina and a good physical condition are absolutely required for 900 meters of altitude gain.
