This 15-kilometer long stage takes you from Oetz to Imst on asphalt side roads and meadow trails. As there is almost no change in altitude the trail is rated easy, ideal for less expert bikers.
- Here the Bike Trail Tirol travels along the main Ötztal Road for a short stretch before it continues on a narrow asphalt trail towards Sautens and further on to Roppen.
- Leaving behind Sautens, you reach the scenic Forchet Area, a beautiful forest interspersed with gently rolling hills and rock formations. It was formed by a giant rockslide in the surroundings of Tschirgant Massif which is located opposite.
- At the height of Roppen you follow the new stretch of the Inntal Cycleway until you get to Imst's hamlet of Brennbichl. Here the choice is all yours: either you take the loop trail to Ehrwald via Marienbergjoch or you follow the - very recommendable – longer route to Lechtal Valley via Ischgl and St. Anton.
- Transalp bikers often prefer the other way round: starting the tour in Imst towards the upper Ötztal Valley, there are many possibilities to cross the Main Alpine Ridge.
