This stage is 37 kilometers long and rated very difficult as it travels from Imst via Marienbergjoch Saddle to Ehrwald, nestling in the foothills of mighty Zugspitze Peak. Some 1381 meters of altitude gain require enough stamina and an excellent physical shape.
- Marienbergjoch Saddle is one of the most outstanding alpine crossings of the entire Bike Trail Tirol.
- Starting in the little town of Imst you follow the gently rolling and easy Gurgltal Cycleway to Nassereith, further on through the forest towards Marienbergalm and up to Marienbergjoch Saddle.
- The downhill trail leads along a very steep and rough gravel path at the beginning and later on a smoother gravel route down to the scenic village of Ehrwald.
- After this truly exhausting stage all efforts are rewarded with superb views of Zugspitze Peak in the east and snow-topped summits of Mieminger Kette and Wetterstein Massif in the south.
