From Alpbach cyclists continue on forest trails, cycleways or asphalt side roads to the end of the stage in Zell am Ziller. This route of intermediate difficulty covers 43.5 kilometers and 1150 meters of altitude gain.
- Right at the beginning you need stamina and an excellent physical condition: the valley's main road switchbacks up to Moser-Baumgartenalm. Leaving behind the mountain hut you have to conquer another strenuous climb up to the stage's highest point at 1850 meters above sea level – in vicinity to Gasthaus Hornboden.
- Once arrived at 1850 meters above sea level, you follow permanently descending forest trails via Kerschbaumer Saddleback towards Zillertal Valley.
- At about 1000 meters altitude the route leads towards the upper Zillertal Valley until you reach your destination Zell am Ziller.
