Mountains, lakes and warm sunshine – what more could you want? The Wasserwelt Haldensee is a great place to spend a summer day with friends and family.
The setting could hardly be more idyllic: a rowing boat bobbing on the water’s edge, used by a fisherman early in the morning and now resting among the reeds. Slowly but surely, visitors arrive on the shores ready for a day of fun and adventure at the mountain village Haldensee in the Tannheimer Tal Valley.
Despite its location at over 1,100 metres above sea level, swimming in summer is a pleasant experience thanks to the 500m² of exceptionally clean water is warmed using solar power.
In addition to swimming, other popular activities include windsurfing, sailing, rowing and canoeing. There is also a network of walking and cycling trails around the lake as well as facilities for horseriding, rock climbing and canyoning.
