Situated to the west of St. Johann in Tirol, the "Badesee Going" is an emerald green lake with magnificent views of the Kaiser Mountains.
This pretty lake is fed by natural sources in the Kaiser Mountains, thereby ensuring excellent water quality, and has been voted the most beautiful natural swimming lake in Tirol thanks to its stunning location, crystal clear water and wide range of attractions and activities.
In summer the water in the lake can reach a pleasant 24°C – perfect for swimming, sliding and splashing around on a hot summer day. Highlights include a 100m open-air slide and an extra-wide XXL slide. Young children and toddlers can play to their hearts’ content on the lakeside and in the shallow non-swimmers’ area. Older children will enjoy the adventure playground and pirate ship.
Directly next to the lake is the JoeRassics Beacharena, the largest beach volleyball centre in western Austria, with four tournament courts and one warm-up court. After all that action, why not take a well-deserved rest and lie down on the 50,000m² sunbathing lawn with plenty of trees providing welcome shade on hot days? Deckchairs and parasols are available for hire, and there is a café serving drinks and snacks nearby.
Just a stone’s throw from the lake is the Moor & More Hiking Trail, a popular excursion for families and easy to combine with a day at the Badesee Going.
