Athletes from eight different nations will compete for their chance at glory as Hopfgarten at the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps will host the 4th World Sports Toboggan Championships on Bärmöser Run in February 2020.
Held on Bärmöser Run, the World Sports Toboggan Championships consist of different events; women’s singles, men’s singles, and doubles in various age divisions. Training runs are scheduled on Friday morning, followed by the official opening at Salvena Recreation Center on Friday night. The World Championships take place every two years.
Competiton runs start on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 9:30am. The medal ceremony for Juniors and Masters is celebrated at Salvena on Saturday night. The final runs are scheduled for Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 10:00am. The crowning of the new world champions in sports toboggan will be held at the Vereinsheim of SV Penningberg at 3:00pm. The World Championships are organized by the Tobogganing Club of Hopfgarten. Come out and cheer on your favourite athletes along the course or follow the comeptions on a big screen. There will be a shuttle service brigning speators to the best viewing locations.
