On December 02 and 09, 2023, Wipptal Valley gets into the holiday spirit with the Operetta Advent at the community hall of Pfons. The Christmas performance features the Symphony Orchestra of the Wipptal Music Academy performing your favorite operetta melodies, accompanied by herdsmen, angels and dancers.
As of 7:00pm, the Christmas Market opens its doors in Matrei, with the historic village center all decked out for the holidays. The old-town feel is charming, and when you add a little crisp chill in the air… it’s a nostalgic shopping experience you will enjoy. Listen to wind playing and caroling at Heilig-Geist Church at 7:30pm, watch skilled craftsmen and feast on seasonal delights.
