The biggest crime literary festival in Austria will return to Tirol this October. A host of about 30 crime writers will give readings and workshops throughout Tirol.
With events all over the country, the Tirol Crime Festival gives all participants the opportunity to celebrate the noir genre in a friendly, informal and inclusive atmosphere from October 5 to 11, 2024. Appearing at the festival will be about 30 popular crime and thriller writers from German-speaking and other foreign countries, including Jean-Luc Bannalec, Tatjana Kruse, Theresa Prammer, Claudia Rossbacher and Thomas Raab. Tirol-born crime author Bernhard Aichner is one of the key individuals involved in organizing the Tirol Crime Festival. He will present a number of readings.
Venues of the festival include event centers, bookstores, shops and pubs all across Tirol. The festival will be opened at Treibhaus in Innsbruck. The Crime Literature Festival scholarship by the Tiroler Tageszeitung daily will be granted to young author Ivan Leon Menger this year.
